FAQs

Q?

What is Giclée printing?

A.

The French word "giclée" (zhee-klay) is a noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. Giclée printing uses high resolution digital image files and archival quality inks onto various substances such as canvas, fine art, and photo paper. The process provides vivid color and detail to each print and is a superior method for reproducing artwork. The quality of the giclée prints rival traditional silver-halide and gelatin processes that are commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.

A.

Hahnemuhle German Etching paper guarantees archival standards. The mould-made etching paper has a distinct textured surface and meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color graduation, and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.  Hahnemuhle translated into English means "Hand made."

Q?

Can prints be personalized?

A.

Yes, personalized prints can be created for you by special order. For example if you wanted a specific quote and image we could create a print from the images and we already have. For specialized prints there is a minimum order of 50 prints and a 50% down payment. Time for delivery would be a few weeks depending on the personalization involved. We may also be able to create an illustration for you from a photograph or picture for an additional charge if you so desire.  We will also be offering limited edition, autographed copies of the prints by the person portrayed on the card.   They will include a certificate of authenticity as well as a photo of the person signing the print.

Q?

What size prints are available?

A.

All of our prints are 4 x 6 inches in size. Our prints are also available in black frames.  The frames have a 7/8″ face with a crisp line and are 1.5″ deep. They include unbreakable acrylic glazing with rigid wood backing to protect the prints.

Q?

How long will it take to receive my order?

A.

If you have ordered a print that is in stock it should only take a 3-4 days via priority mail to reach to arrive. If the print is not in stock (or a special order) it would take a few weeks depending on the circumstances.
